French plait & Dutch plait

The time of the year has come in which we have to coexist with climatic factors 🙆🏻

I have always liked long hair for the versatility of having varying hairstyles. Although it is also true that for my day to day hairtyle I prefer to just have loose hair, and for training in the Dojo, I simply tie it up.
Somedays even the taurine routine must have its exception. Today is that day! A typical autumn day, gray and windy in good old London.

I like to enjoy the wind when I’m out and, to avoid turning it into my enemy, my best option has always been a plait. Although there are several types to choose from, I tend to go for the basic French or inverted French plait (also called Dutch plait). The same ones that all mothers have done to us a thousand times to go to school or to a party. Simple, fast and effective!

Don’t go out without…

It is almost autumn and there is an accessory that you can’t miss if you are a fashion and trends enthusiast…

…Red shoes! 💁🏻👠

Yes!, sandals, or boots if you prefer. The color of this season is red everywhere. Red on your lipstick, on your scarves, tops, handbags and more. One of the best options without a doubt is red shoes. They brighten up your outfit and simply looks great!

That said, my outfit of the week is: a champagne blouse from H&M, a pair of jeans from Zara and a pair of suede shoes from New Look. Et voilà!

Autumn, we’re ready for you!

Autumn ’17

We’re ready for you! 🍁🍂

The holidays are over, kids have gone back to school, and grown ups back to work.

Yes, we’re already looking back at summer with yearning and welcoming autumn among the first dry leaves, rains, and coats and clothes that, slowly, we are putting back in the wardrobe.

What many are wondering is “what will the trend be this autumn?”. Well, truth is, there are plenty of options whatever your style is. From flower patterned blouses or mid-length skirts with geometrical prints from Zara, going through thick belts from the Brock Collection, to those red clothes and accessories from Sézane or Rouje.

Personally, throughout this autumn-winter period I think the item I will see most repeated in my rack will be the blouse. I’m fascinated by the variety offered by different brands and designers, and it is an item that can easily be combined with skirt for a very fashionable look, or with a pair of jeans to give it a more informal appearance.

In terms of colours, keep red in mind! It will doubtlessly be the tone of the season.

Essentials

“Les lèvres maquillées” 💋💄

Among the essentials of any woman, red lipstick should never be missing, but use it wisely! If you want to accent your lips, then do not overdo the make-up in your eyes. The same goes for the other way around.
Black jeans, nails with a ‘berries and cream’ color, and a monochromatic blouse with polka dots and flare sleeves, a simple garment that enhances the rest.

This is my outfit for this week.

Casual

💁🏻 Striped!

We’ve recently talked about ‘essential’, ‘amazing dresses’ and beauty tips, today why don’t we talk about a casual, simple and effective look: Stripes & jeans.

A t-shirt, shirt, blouse, top, striped and trousers, jean skirt or shorts to begin with. Then we can take a look at the details.

Personally, and although at first I did not like the idea, I think the novelty of finishing the sleeves of the jeans in an irregular or loose shape has a certain charm, so I chose this jean for the look.

Finally, one of my favourite handbags, voilà!
